Who said this……?

Owners of capital will stimulate the working class to by more and more of expensive goods, houses and technology, pushing them to take more and more expensive credits, until their debt becomes unbearable. The unpaid debt will lead to bankruptcy of banks, which will have to be nationalised, and the State will have to take the road which will eventually lead to communism.

Good Luck President Obama

I can’t claim to know that much about his policies because I never get to read more than two pages of his latest book before nodding off to sleep – but I do get the sense the USA will be a more pleasant place to visit and interact with under his leadership…

Heathrow Terminal 5

January 6th, 2009 No comments

Just passed through there for the 4th time; seems to me to be a well designed airport experience.

That said, I could do without having to have my photo taken and stored by BA just so I can fly to Edinburgh. Needless to say I could not see any overt explanation of what is being done with the data and given the deployment at the front of a queue there is little chance for a passenger to ask about it.

The Annual Diet

January 1st, 2009 No comments

Oh well, one more day on the festive diet before I start my annual weight loss campaign.

Last year worked well and I only put weight on again as Katherines pregnancy led to me grabbing lots of junk food and getting less exercise. So, I’ll do the same low-carb, Andy Coleman designed diet as last year.

Starting weight and target weight to follow….
