Here’s my experience of the last few days:
- Thursday morning, took my broken iPhone into the retail store in Falkirk to get a new one, and renew my contract which had expired. Told that ‘our systems are down’, can you come back in an hour.
- Came back in an hour…., ‘the systems are still down; give us £25 and we’ll give you a spare, old phone; and we’ll call you as soon as our systems are back up’.
- ….. no phone call, so around 3pm I phoned the call centre to enquire about getting the new phone via that channel. ….’of course sir, place the order now and you’re 98% likely to have it with you tomorrow (Friday). OK, i’ll do that then…
- Friday, no phone showed up
- Saturday, no phone showed up
Despite being a ‘loyal’ customer of 20 plus years, and having lots more O2 products in my kit-bag, i’m sorely tempted to up sticks and head off to one of the other providers. The trouble is, I suspect they are all as bad as each other.
