We just got back from a lovely holiday in Cyprus. I’ve wanted to go their for a while and it did not disappoint – the Aphrodite Hills development outside Paphos has been designed and built to a high standard.
Only downside is the exchange rate from pounds to Euro’s, plus the monopoly prices from being on a stand alone development meant even basic things like a coffee in the golf club cost £4.50…and that’s a bit much.
No matter, I expect we’ll go back there again sometime.

We had a great time, two weeks in Scotland….and it only rained once.
Lot’s of folk meeting the wee man for the first time.
And two big birthdays, Les’s 40th and my Dad’s 70th.

I flagged to them that I did not want our flat shown on the view; they responded as per below…..and wiped out about 40 flats alongside mine. Not very subtle then….

Here’s Archie Gemmill, versus Holland in 1978.
No doubt Holland are quaking in their boots in case there is a repeat next Saturday.
Wee Jamie’s getting ready for the match…

On Monday I flew up to Edinburgh from London City Airport – first time i’ve done that as I usually go via Heathrow or Luton which are closer to where I live.
The downside to City always used to be the cost – because it was geared up for ‘city’ types on expenses then the flights used to cost an arm and a leg – but now that Royal Bank and HBoS staff are grounded the rates seems to have come right down and it make City a nice place to travel from – like a day in a spa compared to Heathrow!!!!
